Select Food Review

Editorial policy

Select Food Review aims to make food choices easier to understand through accurate, clearly framed editorial work. We separate explanation from opinion, identify uncertainty and keep commercial interests distinct from editorial decisions.

Accuracy and clarity

We check names, definitions and factual statements before publication, and write so readers can tell the difference between established information, interpretation and personal preference. We avoid unsupported health claims and do not present food descriptions as professional dietary advice.

Independence

Editorial choices are made for their relevance to readers, not to secure a sale or favour a brand. A product or company being mentioned does not imply endorsement. We do not claim to have tested or researched something unless the article says so and that work has actually been done.

Corrections and updates

If we find a meaningful factual error, we correct it and make the change clear where appropriate. Readers can send a correction through the Contact page, naming the article and the point that needs attention. Updates may also clarify wording when information or context changes.

Partners and paid material

Paid collaborations and partner placements are clearly labelled so readers can distinguish them from independent editorial material. Commercial relationships do not buy control over unrelated coverage or editorial conclusions.

Our point of view

A good choice starts with knowing what you are choosing.

We unpack food language and sensory details so readers can make their own considered decisions, without turning preference into a rule.
